Supreme Court issues warning over fraudulent email
The UK Supreme Court has issued a warning over fraudulent emails purporting to be from the court.
The fraudulent email states: “You’re invited to the law court by the judge because of crime commitment.”
On the court’s website it warns: “Orders made by the Supreme Court are only sent to the parties to proceedings before the Court, and will bear the courts seal and logo. The Supreme Court does not issue ‘subpoenas’ for criminal cases and if you receive an email purporting to be such you are advised to ignore it. If you are concerned about such fraudulent emails, please visit Action Fraud.”
