Stronachs LLP will donate £200 to Friends of Anchor from the sale of every home it lists in June 2017, as it begins a year-long campaign to support the local charity.

Stronachs will make the donation from the firm’s fee for selling the property, on the condition that the seller quotes ‘Friends of Anchor’ when listing with the Stronachs residential property team.

The firm has also committed to a programme of additional fundraising activities for Friends of Anchor, with staff aiming to raise £20,000.

Teams from Stronachs have already signed up to take part in the Baker Hughes 10k Running Festival, Simplyhealth Great Aberdeen Run, Glack Attack, Ride the North, Run Balmoral and Anchor Wipeout challenges this year.

Stronachs will also host a second annual ladies’ afternoon tea party at Hazlehead Café on Friday, June 9, following the success of last year’s inaugural ‘Tea in The Park’ event, which raised more than £10,000 for charity.

Carol Crowther, partner at Stronachs and chair of the firm’s social and charities committee, said: “Every year we ask our staff which charity they would like to fundraise for and this year Friends of Anchor was the clear winner.

“Friends of Anchor provides invaluable support for those affected by cancer in the North-east, as well as raising funds to provide advanced medical equipment and leading cancer research, so we’re honoured to support this incredibly worthy cause.”
