Stephen Smith made partner at Kergan Stewart

Glasgow-based corporate law firm Kergan Stewart has announced the appointment of Stephen Smith as a partner.

Mr Smith joined Kergan Stewart in 2016 from Brodies and is experienced in all aspects of corporate and commercial law.

Since joining the firm he has worked on a number of deals including the acquisition by Dulux Group Australia Pty of paint manufacturer Craig & Rose; acquisitions for the Clyde Munro Dental Group, investments by the Kelvin Capital Syndicate; equity fund raising by 3FBio Limited; the sale of Direct Business Systems to Apogee Corporate; equity fundraisings by cloud based password manager My1Login; and reorganisation of debt facilities for printing group, the GT4 Group.

Before becoming a lawyer, Mr Smith gained a degree in maths, statistics and accounting and worked as a trader at a privately owned futures commission merchant.
