The speakers at the top class event are: Colin Macaulay QC, Mr Patrick Statham, consultant neurosurgeon, Dr Alan Carson, consultant neuropsychiatrist, Shona Haldane QC, Vinit Khurana, advocate andDarren Deery, solicitor at Drummond Miller LLP.

Colin Macaulay QC is to discuss the concept of consent in clinical negligence with a particular focus on the Supreme Court case of Montgomery.

Shona Haldane is to discuss the definition and role of an expert witness in medico-legal proceedings.

She will combine an examination of the law in this area with some practical advice and tips both for those who might have to give such evidence and for solicitors preparing a case that will require expert evidence.
