Shoosmiths boosts Edinburgh commercial offering with partner hire

Shoosmiths LLP has hired commercial dispute resolution partner Stuart Clubb to its growing Edinburgh office.

Mr Clubb, who qualified in 2003 and joins Shoosmiths from HBJ Gateley, will lead the dispute resolution team in Edinburgh. He specialises in the resolution of commercial disputes, with significant expertise and experience in corporate, contractual, insolvency and property related disputes. He also regularly advises insolvency practitioners, companies and directors on all aspects of insolvency law and has acted on a number of high profile insolvency cases.

Mr Clubb is a solicitor advocate with rights of audience in the Court of Session and the Supreme Court and has considerable experience acting for and appearing on behalf of clients in the Court of Session, the Sheriff Court, the Land Court and the Lands Tribunal. He also has extensive experience of resolving disputes by way of alternative methods of dispute resolution, including mediation and negotiation.

Mr Clubb is ranked in Chambers and Partners for litigation in Scotland where he is described as “bright and personable” and “a wonderful technical lawyer”.
