Shakespeare Martineau has strengthened its Scotland team with the appointment of two solicitors and a trainee, alongside the qualification of an existing team member, as it continues to grow its presence.

Based in the firm’s Edinburgh office, Sinead Pow has qualified into the litigation team after the completion of her training contract. She joined Shakespeare Martineau in 2024 after graduating from the University of Strathclyde.

Alexandra Lee joins as a solicitor in the commercial property team from MBM Commercial LLP, where she completed her training contract. She graduated from the University of Glasgow, with the accelerated LLB and diploma in professional legal practice.

Alex Leung has also joined the commercial property team as a solicitor, bringing two years’ post-qualification experience following his graduation from the University of Edinburgh.

Alongside these appointments, Iona Robertson has started her training contract, having first joined the firm as a summer intern last year. She is gaining experience in litigation and commercial property.

She took a non-traditional route into law, studying English literature and psychology at the University of Dundee before completing an accelerated LLB at the University of Edinburgh and diploma at Dundee.

Fiona Pask, head of the Edinburgh office at Shakespeare Martineau, said: “We are pleased to welcome Alexandra and Alex to the Scotland team, while seeing Sinead qualify and Iona progress from intern to trainee.

“Bringing together experienced solicitors with those at the early stages of their careers is an important part of our continued growth in Scotland. It enables us to strengthen the expertise we offer our clients while creating opportunities for people to develop and build their careers with us.

“Our investment in talent reflects our ambition for the Scotland team and our commitment to supporting our clients across the region. We look forward to continuing to build on this momentum.”
