Scottish Pro Bono Roundtable to bring legal sector together
Representatives from across Scotland’s legal and advice sectors will come together in November for an evening focused on strengthening collaboration, expanding pro bono support and improving access to justice.
Hosted by the Faculty of Advocates on Wednesday 4 November 2026, the event will bring together solicitors, advocates, in-house counsel and representatives from advice agencies and third-sector organisations for an evening with the Scottish Pro Bono Roundtable.
The free event forms part of celebrations marking the 25th anniversary of Pro Bono Week, providing an opportunity to reflect on the growth of pro bono activity over the past quarter century while looking ahead to the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
Attendees will hear from lawyers with first-hand experience of pro bono work and take part in discussions on how greater collaboration can help ensure that people who need legal support are connected with the right services at the right time. The event will also showcase the work of the Scottish Pro Bono Roundtable and highlight opportunities for firms and practitioners to become involved.
Established in 2025, the Scottish Pro Bono Roundtable brings together organisations involved in the provision, coordination and development of free legal assistance across Scotland. Its membership includes representatives from the Faculty of Advocates, Citizens Advice Scotland, Civil Rights First, university law clinics, the Law Society of Scotland, leading law firms and in-house legal teams. By fostering collaboration across the legal and advice sectors, the Roundtable aims to improve coordination, identify unmet legal need and expand access to legal support.
Alongside a programme of short talks and discussion, the evening will provide an opportunity for attendees to build new connections and share ideas with colleagues from across Scotland’s growing pro bono community.
Canapés and refreshments will be served. To register please click here. For further information, please contact the Free Legal Services Unit at flsu@advocates.org.uk.
