Scottish Civil Justice Council March update now available

The latest edition of the Scottish Civil Justice Council’s newsletter is now available.

Ongoing work includes:

  • A scoping exercise is being undertaken by the Lord President’s Private Office to assess the implications of Brexit on rules of court.

  • The consideration of draft rules amending the core Simple Procedure Rules in relation to recall proceedings. It has been agreed that these would be considered further by the Rules Rewrite Drafting Team and two of the judicial members of the council with a view to presenting an amended draft to the full council for consideration.
