Recent appeal case examined at Tuesday’s online Conveyancing Conference

Strathclyde Law School’s Malcolm Combe will discuss the recent key case of Gartmore House at CLT Scotland’s Conveyancing Conference which will take place online on Tuesday 20 June and will be sponsored by First Scottish.

In his session looking at the statutory right to roam, the author of The ScotWays Guide to the Law of Access to Land in Scotland will provide a refresher on the relevant legislation and also consider the current case law, including Gartmore House, as well as looking at other topical instances where an occupier of land has sought to restrict access.

Chaired by Ann Stewart of Shepherd & Wedderburn, the speaking panel will also include Adèle Nicol of Anderson Strathern, Andrew Ferguson, Derek Hand of First Scottish, Adele Watts and Craig Rae from the Registers of Scotland, Susan Williams of the Scottish Legal Complaints Commission and Blackwood & Smith’s Struan Ferguson.
