Drummond Miller has underlined its commitment to developing diverse legal talent after announcing a new round of promotions that sees women take all the promoted legal roles.

Among those promoted is Alejandra Ruggeri, who becomes senior associate in the firm’s medical negligence team. A skilled litigator and notary public, she acts exclusively for pursuers in complex medical negligence claims, regularly instructed in cases in both the Court of Session and the All-Scotland Personal Injury Court.

Gillian Lolic is promoted to senior associate within the Glasgow litigation team. She specialises in clinical negligence and historic child abuse claims and has developed extensive experience handling complex and sensitive cases across Scotland’s courts.

The firm has also promoted Katrina Gallacher to associate in its immigration team, Julie Sharp to associate in the Glasgow litigation team, Megan O’Donnell to senior solicitor in the Edinburgh litigation team and Amy Thomson to immigration assistant in Glasgow.

David Brown, chair of Drummond Miller, said: “These promotions recognise colleagues who have consistently demonstrated exceptional professionalism, technical ability and dedication to our clients.

“What makes this year’s promotions particularly pleasing is the breadth of talent they represent across different practice areas, as well as demonstrating Drummond Miller’s commitment to championing diversity. We are passionate about creating an environment where people can build long term careers and fulfil their potential, and these promotions reflect that commitment.”
