Pinsent Masons bolsters Aberdeen real estate team

Pinsent Masons has further strengthened its real estate team in Aberdeen with the appointment of commercial property specialist Val McDougall.

Ms McDougall joins the Queen’s Road based law firm as a consultant after 16 years with Raeburn Christie Clark & Wallace where she was a partner.

She has a wealth of commercial property work experience with a particular interest in the acquisition and sale of residential development sites.

Rodney Whyte, a partner and head of Pinsent Masons’ real estate team in Aberdeen, said: “Val will provide a valued additional resource to our Housing Team and will assist in servicing the growth aspirations of our existing clients throughout Scotland.

“There is an established housing need throughout the country with a well-established requirement for in excess of 115,000 new houses in the life of the next Scottish Parliament and our experienced lawyers and support team will be doing our best on behalf of clients to help deliver that objective.”

Pinsent Masons works across Scotland on behalf of a number of blue riband housing developers including CALA, Barratt, Taylor Wimpey andPersimmon.
