Alan Delaney

Employment law specialist Alan Delaney has joined Morton Fraser as a legal director in its employment law team.

Mr Delaney, who has 17 years of experience in the sector, joins from Dentons and is the second legal director to be appointed by Morton Fraser this year. He is also a board member of Fathers Network Scotland and teaches on the Diploma in Legal Practice at the University of Edinburgh.

In his new role, Alan will provide advice to both employer and senior executive employee clients on a wide range of employment issues, including GDPR, across the private and public sector. He will also support the team with its contentious caseload including dealing with employment tribunal claims, which have increased significantly over the past year.

Innes Clark, partner and head of Morton Fraser’s employment team, said: “I am delighted to have attracted someone of Alan’s calibre to the team and the firm. He is a vastly experienced employment lawyer with an excellent reputation in the marketplace.”

Mr Delaney added: “I have been watching Morton Fraser with real interest over the past few years and have been very impressed by how much the firm has grown in size and stature. Its success, coupled with an impressive client base, means I am looking forward to getting started.”
