McVey & Murricane raises more than £15,000 for Sleep in the Park

Thirteen hardy souls from McVey & Murricane (MM) endured a cold and damp evening in Glasgow on 8 December supporting pioneering social entrepreneurs SocialBite.

Allan Radlow, Tracy McAlpine, Hamish Adams, Shirley Askew, Joanna Matthews, Amanda Walker, Hazel Clark, Stephanie Orr, Amy Sullivan, Charlotte Bolton, Laura Gunn, Bethany Beattie and Sarah Shepherd have raised an impressive £15,275 so far – the highest of any legal firm in Scotland.

The MM charity goal has been operated under the slogan “Looking after those with homes and those without” making specific reference to MM’s heavy involvement with the housing sector.

Senior partner, Allan Radlow, pictured above leading the group of those participating in Sleep in the Park said: “As one of Scotland’s main providers of legal services to the housing sector, we felt that we had a duty to support those in a less fortunate position than many of those using our services.”

MM’s involvement was the idea of Tracy McAlpine, head of new build, who has forged a relationship with SocialBite which sees MM make a donation for each completed transaction.

Ms McAlpine completed Sleep in the Park in 2017 and MM has since centred its charitable efforts in supporting homelessness.
