McKinnon Forbes Solicitors has merged operations with Cullen Kilshaw LLP in a move designed to protect the long-term future of clients and staff while expanding access to a wider team of legal and estate agency experts across the south of Scotland.
Founders Yvonne McKinnon and Susan Forbes will continue to practise from their Tranent office.
Ms McKinnon said: “Our priority has always been to protect our clients’ interests and provide a dependable service. By joining forces with Cullen Kilshaw we are ensuring continuity, while opening the door to an even broader range of expertise.”
Ms Forbes added: “Clients can be reassured that nothing will change in terms of how we work with them. We will remain accessible in person, by phone, and by email. All existing Wills, Titles, Powers of Attorney and client funds will be securely maintained, and our policies for meetings and consultations remain the same.”
David Kilshaw said: “We are delighted that Yvonne, Susan and the rest of their team are joining the firm. Just like McKinnon Forbes, we have steadily built our business on providing community based legal and property services which are both readily accessible and affordable, and we are excited at the prospect of expanding our reach from the Scottish Borders into Tranent and East Lothian.”
