MacRoberts gains place on Crown Commercial Services Legal Panel

MacRoberts has secured a place on the UK government’s Crown Commercial Service (CCS) public sector full-service panel.

The CCS opened the tender for its wider public sector legal services roster last year and announced a five-lot framework covering regional and full-service work in March, with a maximum number of four lots from the combination awarded to each tenderer.

There are 19 firms appointed to lot 2 for full-service work, which is split into three separate divisions for England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

The full-service panel covers a broad range of legal services including commercial, corporate, property and construction, IT, data protection, litigation and public procurement and can be used by the wider public sector, including health, education, local and regional government, emergency services and third sector and social housing organisations.

The panel allows for the provision of commercial legal services to UK public sector contracting authorities and works with over 17,000 customer organisations.

Duncan Osler, lead partner in the tender process, said: “Our strong public sector focus and our place as a Scottish government panel Firm make us a natural fit as full service firm for CCS and we are very much looking forward to working with organisations on the CCS framework.”
