This year’s Macfadyen Lecture will be delivered by Lord Hodge who will discuss ‘Developments in the Scots Law of Contract’.
The lecture will will cover contractual interpretation and ask whether there are differences emerging between Scots law and English law in this field and whether that is a good idea.
It will also address developments in the implication of terms, rectification, and the legal regulation of contracts such as the law on penalty clauses, illegality, economic duress and remoteness of damage.
