Lockton’s new e-modules on phishing and personal online security
Lockton, the appointed brokers for the Master Policy, have expanded their risk management resource centre to include three new CPD modules on phishing and other cyber security threats.
Cyber risks are rapidly evolving, and law firms can be an attractive target. Phishing emails are still one of the most common tactics used by cybercriminals to gain access to a firm’s systems. With this in mind, Lockton’s risk management team have delivered three fully interactive e-learning modules:
• Phishing: common tactics, how to spot suspicious emails, and best practices for securing your personal data.
• Social Engineering: how cybercriminals use manipulation to gather confidential information and how to protect your staff and your firm from social engineering attempts.
• Personal Online Security: key security practices for digital security including two-factor authentication, password managers, and virtual private networks.
The modules are completely free for Scottish legal practices, and each provide 30 minutes of verifiable CPD. Practitioners can use the modules to fulfil the requirement to complete one hour of risk management CPD per year.
They can also be rolled out across firms as part of a staff training programme.
The modules can each be accessed on Lockton’s Resource Centre here; Free Interactive Phishing E-Learning Modules.
