Litigator appointment boosts advocacy team at bto

Solicitor advocate Robin Macpherson has joined bto solicitors.

Mr Macpherson will be based in Edinburgh, working closely with partners Tony Jones and Paul Motion, and will play an active role in further developing the commercial dispute resolution side of the practice.

He has over 30 years’ of dispute resolution experience, spanning most aspects of civil and commercial litigation.

Specialising in property, contract, professional negligence, insolvency and general commercial litigation, Mr Macpherson has acted in a range of high value disputes representing national and global clients in sheriff courts, the Court of Session (both as solicitor and as solicitor advocate) and at various tribunals and hearings.

Mr Macpherson has been rated as an expert in commercial litigation, professional negligence, insolvency and real estate litigation in the Legal 500 and Chambers’ legal directories over the past ten plus years, and is accredited as a specialist by the Law Society of Scotland in both insolvency law and professional negligence.

He also has longstanding experience of the Commercial Court of the Court of Session.
