Literature review of death by dangerous driving published

A literature review of the law surrounding death by dangerous driving has been published.
Dr Rachel McPherson and Professor Cyrus Tata, from the Centre for Law, Crime & Justice at Strathclyde University, were commissioned by the Scottish Sentencing Council to carry out the review, which examines current sentencing practice and knowledge around causing death by driving offences.
The review will inform the council’s consideration as it develops a sentencing guideline for causing death by driving offences.
