Lady Poole takes up tribunal appeals post
Lord Justice Dingemans, senior president of tribunals, with the consent of the lord president, has appointed Lady Poole to be president of the Upper Tribunal Administrative Appeals Chamber.
Lady Poole succeeds Mrs Justice Heather Williams and will serve a three-year term with effect from 9 February 2026. She will continue to sit in the Court of Session and High Court of Justiciary.
The chamber president is responsible for reporting to the senior president of Tribunals and following the senior president of tribunals’ strategic direction for the leadership of the chamber.
The UTAAC is one of four chambers of the Upper Tribunal and deals with appeals against decisions made by lower tribunals and organisations.
