Ian Angus promoted to partner at Blackadders

Blackadders LLP has announced a record number of promotions across both its business services and private client teams in Scotland. The internal promotions include lawyers based in the firm’s Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow offices.
Ian Angus has been promoted to partner in the rural land & business team at Blackadders. Mr Angus is also a part-time farmer, running his own livestock farm near Huntly, Aberdeenshire.
Blackadders has also appointed partner Susan McFadyen as head of the corporate & commercial team. Having joined Blackadders in May 2015, she has more than 20 years’ experience in corporate & commercial law, dealing with a wide range of matters including joint ventures, investment rounds and intellectual property.
In the firm’s Employment team, Blair Duncan has been promoted to director. Mr Duncan is part of the award-winning Employment team and works closely with colleagues across Scotland. He has a particular focus on contentious employment law and regularly represents employers and employees at employment tribunals. He is also a tutor at Strathclyde University on the undergraduate employment law course and features as a regular presenter in the team’s HR Club events.
Eight members of the private client team have been recognised in the latest round of promotions including four new senior solicitor appointments.
