Henderson Loggie had been appointed as the administrator of DJ Mackay & Partners after the law firm fell into administration.
Shona Campbell, head of business recovery and insolvency at Henderson Loggie, was appointed administrator of the firm on 14 August.
Glasgow-based DJ Mackay & Partners, which was founded in 2017, specialised in personal injury claims. The firm, which employs 16 people, has confirmed that it has notified the Law Society of Scotland of the administration.
Ms Campbell said: “The firm has experienced financial difficulties and the partners concluded that administration was the appropriate course of action. Our immediate priority as administrators is to secure all client files, protect confidential information and ensure continuity of service for individuals whose matters are currently in progress.
“We are working closely with relevant regulators and stakeholders to continue arrangements for the orderly transfer and ongoing management of live cases. We will ensure that affected staff are fully supported throughout any redundancy process.”
Donald Mackay, director of DJ Mackay & Partners, said: “This was an extremely difficult decision and not one taken lightly. We want to thank our staff for their hard work and professionalism throughout, and we apologise to clients for any disruption caused. The firm is cooperating fully with the administrators to ensure an orderly and responsible handover.”
