Harper Macleod welcomes Jacqueline Cook as planning partner
Jacqueline Cook
Harper Macleod has announced the appointment of new partner Jacqueline Cook to its planning team.
Ms Cook is one of only 10 planning law specialists accredited by the Law Society of Scotland, reflecting her 20 years of experience across contentious and non-contentious planning law in all UK jurisdictions. Her standing as a leading adviser in Scotland’s built environment and energy sectors makes her a strong addition to Harper Macleod’s existing expertise in these key areas.
The firm’s planning team advises clients across the public, private and third sectors ranging from planning authorities, regulatory bodies, advisory bodies, consultatory groups/individuals and developers of renewable energy, commercial, industrial and residential projects. The team works closely with the firm’s wider built environment, energy and public sector advisers across the central belt and north of Scotland.
Peter Ferguson, partner and head of Harper Macleod’s planning team, said: “Jackie brings a wealth of experience in the built environment and energy sectors. Her position as vice-chair of the Scottish Property Federation’s Planning & Development Committee further highlights the meaningful contribution she will make to our team here at Harper Macleod. We look forward to welcoming her and continuing to provide top-tier legal advice to our clients.”
Ms Cook said: “I am excited to be joining the planning team at Harper Macleod, which has a strong reputation and a real impact across Scotland. I look forward to providing creative, strategic legal advice and to building strong, long-term relationships with clients at all stages of the development process.”
