Harper Macleod has continued the growth of its Inverness office with the arrival of a new senior associate.

Kenneth Campbell has joined the firm from DWF in Edinburgh and will enhance Harper Macleod’s presence across the Highlands, particularly in relation to commercial disputes.

Mr Campbell is originally from Isle of Scalpay, Harris but grew up near Inverness and identified the opportunity to develop his career at Harper Macleod at the same time as returning to his Highland roots.

The new recruit has extensive experience of commercial and property litigation, including complex cases in the Court of Session, Sheriff Court, commercial courts and Lands Tribunal. He has also represented clients in arbitrations and regulatory matters and will enhance the firm’s dispute resolution and property teams.

Mr Campbell, who is ranked by legal directories Legal 500 and Chambers in the area of property commercial litigation, said: “I delighted to be able to continue my career in litigation by working in the Highlands for one of Scotland’s preeminent law firms.”

Chris Kerr, lead partner for Harper Macleod in Inverness, said: “We’re delighted to have attracted Kenneth to the office, which is testament to the scale and reputation of our offering in the north of the country. He has a great reputation in the profession and has particular skills in areas where we know there is great demand in the city and beyond.

“Kenneth’s appointment represents another newly created role in our Inverness operation. Coming soon after we added Andrew Kerr to our real estate team, this appointment demonstrates our ongoing commitment to offering clients specialist advice on their doorstep.”
