Harper Macleod appoints three new associates to private client team

Harper Macleod has named three new associates in its private client team, which provides personal legal services to individuals across Scotland.

Lindsay MacEwen (neƩ Watson) joins from Brodies LLP, having previously practised at Maclay Murray & Spens LLP (now Dentons LLP). She advises on a wide range of matters including succession planning for family businesses and other private client aspects of corporate work. She is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and tutors on the Diploma in Legal Practice at the University of Glasgow.

Ms MacEwen will be joined as an associate by Samantha Taylor and Kathleen Martin, who have both by promoted from assistant.

Ms Taylor, based in Harper Macleod’s Inverness office, has worked closely with partner Tom Monteith in expanding the firm’s private client offering in the north of Scotland. Ms Martin is based in the Glasgow office and advises clients on the full range of private client matters.

Harper Macleod now has a team of 29 in its private client department, led by six partners and five associates, working out of offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Inverness and Lerwick.
