Gilson Gray hits for six at ACQ5 Legal Awards
Gilson Gray has won big at a legal awards ceremony - topping an impressive six categories.
The firm saw success in the Scottish categories of this year’s ACQ5 Awards, winning “Corporate Law Firm of the Year”, “M&A Law Firm of the Year”, “Full Service Law Firm of the Year” and “Customer Service Law Firm of the Year”.
Leading individuals were also recognised, with Glen Gilson scooping the “Managing Partner of the Year” award for the second time in three years and Steven Jansch picking up “Insolvency Lawyer of the Year”, an honour he also won in 2014.
Mr Gilson said: “We are delighted and humbled by this level of recognition. We are carving out a strong reputation as a full service firm capable of specialist recognition across all of our services.
“The firm is dedicated to becoming the best example in Scotland, committed to driving growth by attracting the best talent in their respective fields.
“The mindset in the business remains the same as the day we started – to provide a transparently and persuasively priced service and only employ partners and staff that know how to engage properly with clients to make the service exceptional and wherever possible enjoyable.”
He added: “I am grateful for the accolade but it is of lesser importance than the Firm of the Year and Customer Service awards.
“I am very lucky to work alongside the likes of Matthew Gray and the very talented people in our business. Every one of our partners and staff deserve recognition for their efforts and excellence. It is our collective effort that has delivered each of the awards and moreover our commercial success to date.”
Matthew Gray, managing director of property services at Gilson Gray added: “We are as ever very grateful to our clients and the Scottish business community for their continued support. We are keen to provide a very different working environment and service to the traditionalistic legal model and it is encouraging to receive such recognition for our efforts to date.”
