A Texas man found it too hard to stay awake while getting his mugshot taken because he was stoned.

Christopher Shirley, 20, was found to be sleeping while Harris County officers took his photo.

He was taken in after Wal-Mart staff alerted police that Mr Shirley was sleeping in his car in the supermarket’s car park.

Sky News reports he was unable to tell police where he was born.

Deputy Jim Slack said: “He’d wake up, kind of look around and then nod off again totally out of it.

“I thought, man, this guy is really high on something.

“He was slurring his speech and it just wasn’t making any sense.”

Officers said he admitted to smoking synthetic marijuana while driving – he was charged with driving while intoxicated.

Californian police are searching for a man caught on CCTV stealing clothes from a pickup truck while wearing two bras, one as it is typically worn and another – on his head.

The “bra bandit” was caught on CCTV outside a Coachella home, walking past wearing the bras and also a skirt, stealing items from the unlocked truck.

Bra Bandit was seen on the security camera attempting to scare a cat on the front porch before stealing various things including cleaning supplies from the truck.

The footage also records how he narrowly avoided being caught by local police.

“We have had incidents where stuff has been stolen, but never like this, where some guy is completely naked, and at a point in the video you actually see him sniffing the bra,” Vidal Coronel, daughter of the truck’s owner, told KESQ-TV.

“We all have kids here, and for this guy to be walking around in a bra and a skirt stealing, and he could go into someone’s house and do something worse,” Ms Coronel added.
