And finally… employees of vegan strip club take their beef to court
A vegan strip in club in America is being sued by a number of its employees.
The Casa Diablo in Portland, Oregon, which boasted of being the world’s first vegan strip club, is to be sued by two of its strippers for $208,276 in backdated wages, damages for battery and return of unlawful fees.
One review of the club from 2011 reads:”If you love being assaulted on stage for a dollar or less, this is the club for you.”
The club’s official slogan, attesting to its vegan credentials, states: “Vixens not veal, sizzle not steak, we put the meat on the pole, not on the plate.”
Casa Diablo’s owner Johnny Zukle has been criticised by employees for his imposition of late fees and attempts to obtain sexual favours from some of them.
