Ex-solicitor becomes local authority head of housing

A former solicitor has been appointed as head of housing at Aberdeenshire Council.

Rob Simpson has practised as a commercial property solicitor with Burness Paull and Stronachs and briefly held a position with CMS Cameron McKenna.

He later joined Aberdeen City Council as a team leader and went on to become its citywide communities and housing manager until his appointment at Aberdeenshire Council with effect from Monday 21 November.
