Ellis Whittam staff raise money for Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow

Staff from Ellis Whittam in Glasgow have been raising funds for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.

The money raised will go towards funding medical equipment and services available at the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow.

Lyndsay Gourlay, an employment law adviser, took on the role of Santa’s little helper at Silverburn shopping centre and was also a bucket collector at the Jack and the Beanstalk pantomime. The pantomime collections throughout the season helped raise over £4,000 in vital funds for the local hospital.

Meanwhile, Musab Hemsi, a senior employment law adviser at Ellis Whittam and guest lecturer at Glasgow Caledonian University completed the 24-mile Mighty Stride Kiltwalk from Glasgow Green to Loch Lomond. A total of £1,115 was raised and was topped up to more than £1,500 by the Sir Tom Hunter Foundation.

The team also got involved in buying and putting together Superhero themed gift bags which were donated to the children who are being supported by the charity.

Mr Hemsi said: “We are delighted knowing that our volunteering has helped raise funds for such a worthwhile cause. We are looking forward to continuing to raise money for such a great charity.”
