IiP expects only 0.5 per cent of the thousands of businesses they assess across the UK each year to achieve platinum accreditation.

In making its assessment that led to the award, Investors in People describe Digby Brown as a “high performing organisation” which is “truly values driven” and one which gives corporate social responsibility “a high priority and profile”, making “a very positive impact” in communities across Scotland. Leaders within Digby Brown are recognised as “very positive role models”. The culture of the firm was noted to be underpinned by an ethos of continuous improvement.

Digby Brown chief executive Fraser Oliver said: “Our focus is on serving clients throughout Scotland who have been involved in accidents or are victims of occupational disease.

“As a business, we know we can only achieve great results for our clients by recruiting, developing and retaining good people and giving them fulfilling careers. Our drive for high performance and the focus on continuous improvement are at the heart of what Investors in People standard is all about.

“This award is the culmination of years’ of hard work and evidence of the quality of the people who make up the Digby Brown team.

“We are particularly pleased that Investors in People have recognised our commitment to corporate social responsibility and to making a difference in the communities where we work. Working with a range of charities across Scotland gives us the chance to put our values into action every day.”

Digby Brown director of HR Neil MacInnes said: “The Investors in People standard is globally recognised as best practice in people management. Only 0.5 per cent of organisations being assessed are expected to receive platinum aAccreditation.

“To be part of such an elite group is a reflection of the progress we have made since the firm started benchmarking itself against the Investors in People standard.
