CLT graduates join over 8,000 qualified paralegals

31st August 2017 marked a special day for graduates of the Specialist Paralegal Qualifications offered by CLT Scotland and accredited by the University of Strathclyde.

270 graduates received formal recognition for their specialist studies across a broad range of legal disciplines at the annual awards ceremony held in the Barony Hall at the University of Strathclyde. These graduates join over 8,000 CLT Scotland qualified paralegals in private practice, business and local government throughout Scotland.

Graduates, expert tutors, The Law School at the University, The Law Society of Scotland Accredited Paralegal Scheme team, and the Scottish Paralegal Association were all in attendance.

Janet Rieu-Clark, Law Society of Scotland Accredited Paralegal said; “I was honoured to be asked to speak to the graduates at the recent CLT Paralegal Graduation. It was a grand affair showcasing just how important paralegals are to the legal profession in Scotland. The CLT course is invaluable to those starting their legal career and for those currently within the profession taking the next step forward to qualification. As an Accredited Paralegal working at the Law Society of Scotland I wish the graduates well in their future career and look forward to receiving their applications to become Accredited Paralegals.”
