Brodies goes the distance for CHAS with Camino trek
Staff at Brodies LLP will take on part of the Camino de Santiago this summer to raise money for Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS).
Taking place from Friday 5 June to Tuesday 9 June, the challenge will see 22 people from from the firm’s Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Inverness and Leeds offices come together to hike more than 67km in three days.
The trek has been inspired by the work of CHAS, the firm’s chosen charity partner, which provides care for children who may die young and their families.
Managing partner Stephen Goldie said: “As a firm, we are very proud to have supported CHAS since 2024 and to partner with a charity that makes such a difference to children and families across Scotland.
“With colleagues representing all areas of our firm taking part, we wish the entire team the very best for the Camino challenge ahead and congratulate them on the fantastic efforts they have already made to raise funds for CHAS – their commitment is a strong reflection of our values at Brodies.”
The team will start the trek in the Spanish town of Palas de Rei, and will hike through villages and forests for three days to reach their destination, Santiago de Compostela.
Partner Stuart Murray, member of the Camino team and chair of Brodies’ Care Committee, said: “Working with CHAS over the last two years has been enlightening and humbling. The support they provide for children and their families in the most difficult circumstances is simply incredible.”
