Blackadders LLP announces Robyn Lee as new private client partner

Robyn Lee

Blackadders LLP has promoted Robyn Lee from director to partner in its private client team.

Ms Lee started as a trainee at Blackadders in 2017 and has progressed steadily throughout her legal career, operating at every level of the firm. She now mentors a new generation of trainees.

Speaking about her promotion, Ms Lee said: “I’m absolutely delighted to have been given this opportunity. Having started my career at Blackadders as a trainee, becoming a partner feels particularly special, and I’m really looking forward to playing my part in the continued growth of our private client service.

“I’ve had so much support and encouragement from colleagues throughout my time with the firm and have always been given opportunities to learn, develop and progress. I’m incredibly grateful for that, and very proud to now be joining the partnership.”

Ms Lee advises on wills, powers of attorney, trusts, and inheritance tax planning. She has a broad range of experience in dealing with more complex succession planning cases, legal rights, asset protection and legitimate tax mitigation strategies.

This includes acting for high-net-worth individuals, taking on cases with an international aspect, acting where complex, perhaps contentious, family dynamics are involved, representing longstanding Blackadders’ clients and advising those with ongoing business and/or agricultural interests. As part of this, she also engages in the creation and ongoing administration of a variety of trust types.

Ms Lee has also often taken the lead in cases involving adults with incapacity matters, particularly guardianship orders, renewals and intervention orders.

Joint managing partner Emma Gray said: “It’s great to see Robyn reach this milestone. Her progression from trainee to partner is a fantastic achievement and reflects our continued commitment to developing our people. Enabling our people to build long and successful careers at Blackadders has long been a core part of our strategy.”

Ms Lee is a full member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) and in 2021 she was named the highest scoring graduate across all four papers in the STEP Diploma in Scotland.
