Blackadders leads on sale of Scottish software company ClassForKids

The business team at Blackadders has helped steer through the sale of the online activity booking site, ClassForKids.

ClassForKids, the Glasgow-based site which is used by more than 3,000 kids’ activity clubs to help parents and owners save time and money, has been sold to The Access Group, one of the UK’s leading providers of business management software.

The business services team at Blackadders advising on the deal was led by corporate partner and chairman of the firm, Peter Duff, with support from corporate associate, Dario Demarco.

In the last decade, ClassForKids has quickly scaled its operations to become the UK’s leading provider of booking and management software for activity clubs, allowing owners and organisers to manage and grow their businesses more effectively.

Nikki Th’ng, CEO at ClassForKids, said: “There have been many twists, turns and challenges from start to finish throughout my ClassForKids time. The sale process was no different but in my 10 years working with Peter and the team at Blackadders I have always felt protected and given great advice along the way.

ClassForKids has been a client of Blackadders since its incorporation. The size of the deal has not been disclosed.

Reflecting on the sale and on the long-standing client relationship, Mr Duff said: “Having supported Nikki and his vision for the business over the years, including through various rounds of investment over the years, it was great to be part of bringing matters to a conclusion.”
