Anderson Strathern presents higher education award to Glasgow University
Anderson Strathern’s education group was out in force at the inaugural Herald Higher Education Awards in Glasgow last night.
The firm was one of the main sponsors of the event and it sponsored the “Institution of the Year” award, which was presented to the winners Glasgow University by Fiona Killen, head of the firm’s parliamentary and public law unit and governance lead for the education group.
The Higher Education Awards were established to recognise the highest standards of education offered at higher and further education institutions throughout Scotland and the exceptional level of learning that is developed every year.
The Institution of the Year Award recognised exceptional performance in the last academic year.
Other award winners included Edinburgh Napier University, Dundee University and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
Presenting the Institution of the Year Award, Ms Killen said: “Education is at the heart of the future of Scotland and at Anderson Strathern we work in partnership with our education clients in schools, colleges and higher education institutions to build that future.
“We welcome the opportunity to participate in the first Herald Higher Education Awards, which recognise the diversity and quality of contributions in Scotland’s Higher Education sector.
“We would like to congratulate all of the winners and particularly Glasgow University on winning the Institution of the Year Award.”
