Anderson Strathern has appointed Gregory Stachura as a senior associate in its expanding property finance team. Mr Stachura has re-joined the firm after 14 years, having completed his traineeship and later working as a solicitor with Anderson Strathern. He will be working alongside partner Gillian Anderson, who heads up property finance.

Mr Stachura’s appointment brings specialist financial services experience in commercial banking and secured lending with a particular focus in property finance. He also brings expertise in corporate banking including asset, project and acquisition finance after many years acting for a number of domestic and offshore lenders including all of Scotland’s major banks. In addition, Mr Stachura acts for various blue chip companies and other borrowers. In his new role, he will also be providing advice to clients on general banking and security matters as well as other funding arrangements.

Mr Stachura is highly respected in the financial services sector and recommended by Chambers and Legal 500. He joins Anderson Strathern from Lindsays.

He said of his new role: “After developing my expertise in this sector, I am excited to return to Anderson Strathern. I have been very impressed by the growing finance practice and the range of clients that the firm services. The prospect of working alongside Gillian was a real draw in returning to Anderson Strathern as well as, once again, working with Drew Morris, head of the commercial real estate department. I am keen to support Gillian and Drew in developing the practice and servicing our clients to the highest level. ”

Ms Anderson added: “Myself and the wider Finance team are delighted to welcome Gregory to the firm. Gregory has an excellent reputation in the market and his list of credentials speaks volumes. His experience and knowledge will be a great asset to the firm and our clients.”
