News of the incident - in which police say a massive pork product was allegedly hurled at the vehicle - emerged in Die Welt.

According to reports, the dispute began over parking.

The 49-year-old suspect threw the sausage and a metal link in the end made a 1cm dent in a 47-year-old man’s rear right car door.

Neither man has been named in the German press, but police are investigating whether the incident amounts to criminal damage.
