Sidley Austin was forced to drop the intern after a number of complaints, according to American legal blog Above The Law.

The blog, which has dubbed her the “Biglaw Biter”, said she had bitten colleagues in a playful rather than violent way.

While Above The Law claimed there were more than 10 incidents, other sources including rival legal blog RollOnFriday have said it was just five.

Fellow interns, associates and a member of the HR team were among those allegedly bitten.
