A family judge was forced to step in after a couple named their child “Griezmann Mbappe” after the famous football stars.
The judge in Brive-la-Gaillarde, in southwest France, stripped the name from the five-month-old boy, AFP reports.
Authorities determined that naming the boy after footballers Antoine Griezmann and Kylian Mbappe, who played for France in the World Cup, was “contrary to the child’s interest”.
The boy’s parents have now decided to name him Dany Noe instead.
