A man has been jailed for three years and fined over £1 million for overharvesting sea cucumbers.
Hoon Namkoong, 62, failed to report nearly 115,000 kilograms of sea cucumbers which he bought between 2014 and 2016.
His company, US-based Orient Seafood Production, sold the marine animals in Asia and the US.
US federal prosecutors said his actions will impact sea cucumber numbers in the Puget Sound for years.
The US District Court in Seattle ordered him to pay $1.5 million (over £1 million) in restitution.
