And finally... road to ruin

A YouTuber has meticulously identified every misused road sign in Grand Theft Auto V.

The Scottish-made video game’s fictional setting of Los Santos is loosely based on real-life Los Angeles.

However, in a 23-minute video released on Friday, Any Austin compares the use of road signs in the game to California’s official Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and is left unimpressed.

He goes on to consult a real-life lawyer, Devin James Stone – who has his own YouTube channel called LegalEagle – who agrees that many of the signs would be difficult for Los Santos police to enforce.

“Boy, I went to law school for this,” Mr Stone quips.

Reviewing some of the in-game footage, he notes: “Here, in this clip, they are bowling through a stop sign, but it’s a stop sign in front of a green signal.

“Just thrilling stuff. Usually, we’re talking about, you know, murder and defamation. But, you know, what people really want are highly technical traffic manual analysis videos.”

The video has so far racked up nearly 600,000 views since Friday.

One commenter said: “This dude’s gonna single-handedly delay GTA 6 for several years.”
