And finally... reds under the bed

A hotel in China has been ordered to stop waking guests by placing red pandas in their rooms.

The unique wake-up service offered by Chongqing-based Lehe Ledu Liangjiang Holiday Hotel has become a hit with tourists and influencers.

Guests have shared video footage online of waking up to red pandas crawling onto their beds.

However, the Chongqing Forestry Bureau has told the hotel that it must now stop all activities that involve close contact between humans and red pandas.

Concerns have been raised about the risk of injury and disease transmission, and critics have also highlighted that red pandas are a protected species that should not be used in tourism, The Independent reports.

Officials from the forestry body are set to visit the hotel to carry out a full investigation.
