US rapper 50 Cent was arrested last week after a foul-mouthed outburst on stage during a concert in the Caribbean island of St Kitts, where swearing in public is against the law.
The star, whose real name Curtis Jackson, used the word “motherf*****” in front of the crowd of 40,000, and was held by police after the show.
He appeared in court the following morning and paid a fine to settle the case before returning to the US later that day.
A representative for the star said: “Mr. Jackson was only booked to host the show, when he arrived at the festival organizers asked him to perform, he obliged and used the DJ they had there.
