Aerial footage captured by a news helicopter shows the officer swiping on at least three women’s profiles during the SWAT operation in California’s Riverside County, CBS News reports.

The suspect was barricaded in a nearby armoured vehicle at the time, and later died from what police say was a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office said: “This behaviour does not reflect the standards, expectations, or policies of our department.

“We have initiated an internal investigation and will take appropriate action based on the findings.

“The Sheriff’s Office remains committed to professionalism and holding our employees accountable.”
