And finally… naked lunch
On the first Monday of every month a Florida steakhouse hosts a dinner where guests can enjoy a meal completely naked.
Chef and owner Maurad Ali said he came up with the idea to attract new customers and generate publicity, adding that there is a market for the experience and that staff are trained to treat diners respectfully.
The restaurant, in the city of Hollywood, expects about 20 people to attend its latest naked dining evening. Tickets cost $250 for men, $150 for women and $300 for couples.
Ali described the event as a five-star experience focused on “class and elegance”.
Hostess Tashaeba Hart said she would also be naked when guests arrived, to help them feel more comfortable.
The unusual dining concept is legal – according to the city of Hollywood. City spokesperson Joann Hussey said it is permitted because the restaurant’s staff remain clothed.
