An Arkansas judge will never serve on the bench again after resigning immediately after allegations of sexual misconduct were put to him.Timothy Parker continues to deny swapping sexual favours with “many female litigants” in exchange for favourable bond conditions or the release of the women or their friends and family from prison.
However, the state’s Judicial Discipline and Disability Commission says that it has recorded video statements from more than a dozen women and obtained text messages that support the allegations.
Mr Parker told the Associated Press that he did not contest the allegations because “I have young children and I don’t want them exposed to that kind of crap”.
A criminal investigation is now underway and Mr Parker may also lose his law license in a separate investigation.
