A Russian court has fined a woman who said a new school uniform had a “slight Hitler vibe”.

The 33-year-old woman from Yaroslavl, identified only as Viktoria B, was found guilty of “displaying Nazi symbols” after posting the comment online.

“No idea why, but the second uniform gives me a slight Hitler vibe,” she wrote, according to Novaya Gazeta Europe.

The new uniform in question, to be adopted from the start of September, is black and features the Russian coat of arms on the outside of the upper left arm.

Viktoria was given the lowest possible fine of 1,000 rubles (around £9.30) after showing remorse for the comment.

She was also ordered by the court to delete the comment.
