And finally… I, Robot take you, Robot
An unusual wedding took place in Japan over the weekend.
While the bride still wore a long white dress and glided down the aisle, there was one important difference – the couple were robots.
Surprisingly, this was Japan’s first robot wedding, which saw the groom, Frois, and his bride Yukirin exchange vows.
Frois is a red and silver robot and Yukirin is a humanoid.
In order to kiss his bride, Frois extended a silver protrusion from his mouth.
However, a human had to intervene to plant it on the bride’s mouth.
The wedding was officiated by another robot – Pepper – and took place in front of about 100 guests.
Following the union, the party began and included robot dance performances and a tiered cake covered in petals.
