And finally… Gecko AWOL
A court has upheld a two month suspension for a Korean army officer who left base without permission during working hours 64 times over a ten month because he needed to feed his lizard and wash his car.
The officer was also found to have verbally abused other soldiers and delayed approval of their leave saying to one, “Is this a community service center? Get lost.”
The officer in question had brought a lawsuit before the Busan District Court attempting to overturn the disciplinary action.
In dismissing the case the judge said that under Army disciplinary regulations the officer’s actions would have been enough to warrant dismissal.
